OUR STORY
Hi I’m Troy, Owner and Manager of Alabaster Construction.
From a young age, I’d had a great passion for building. I wanted to become a builder because I loved the aesthetics of architecture and the visual progress achieved in building a home.
I’ve always had the drive to start my own company so I could independently showcase the workmanship put into every home and to have someone enjoy the quality of that workmanship in total confidence for years to come after the house has been built.

What do you enjoy the most about construction?
I really enjoy the dynamics of construction and systemising tasks to simplify the job. Also the visual progress of constructing architecture is very rewarding.

Creating a good team culture and my eye for detail.

Dean
What do you enjoy the most about construction?
I enjoy the physicality of the job and working outdoors.
What are your top strengths?
My experience, time management skills and punctuality.
Describe your team in one word.
Entertaining.
If you could have one super power what would it be and why?
Teleportation so I don’t have to climb any ladders or scaffolds at work!
Hayden
What do you enjoy the most about construction?
I love how no two days are the same. There’s so much variety and the skills learnt are practical for every day life. It’s also great to take a step back and appreciate the job you’ve done.
What are your top strengths?
I’m very motivated. As an apprentice I’m eager to learn as much as possible and test my skills and knowledge on a daily basis.
If you could have one super power what would it be and why?
Super strength would be great for lugging timber around site for the boys. Either that, or to be like Matila, she was elite.
Cody
What do you enjoy the most about construction?
I enjoy looking back at what I’ve accomplished after a hard days work, and being able to learn new skills every day.
What are your top strengths?
My attention to detail and my problem-solving ability.

If you could have one superpower what would it be and why?
My superpower would be teleporting so I don’t have to walk up and down the scaffold.
What are two goals you have for this year (one business and one personal)?
My business goal is to become qualified before July 2023. My personal goal is to improve my fitness.
Connor
What do you enjoy the most about construction?
I enjoy being able to work with my hands, and to build something then be able to stand back and look at the finished product – pure satisfaction!
What are your top strengths?
I have a great work ethic and bloody good banter!

A bunch of hard working lads who are all passionate about what they do.
If you could have one superpower what would it be and why?
My superpower would be time travel powers so I can go back and get that winning lotto ticket!
What are two goals you have for this year?
My business goal is to get through a good chunk of paperwork for my apprenticeship. My personal goal is to save enough money to buy my first home.

The social aspect and chatting to the boys when the boss isn’t looking.
